Card Oddities
The following are cards that have typos, printing issues or broken mechanics. This is simply a collection of weird things I've noticed about certain cards while building this site. A lot of these are super nit-picky and pedantic complaints that can easily be ignored. Any issues that would negatively impact the usage of the card (like a misspelt digivolution requirement) has been corrected on this site.
Broken Mechanic
-
MetalEtemon (BO-27) -
The special effect says to score 300 points when digivolving this Digimon, but you cannot digivolve a Mega level (at least not this one). The effect should read "Score 300 when Digivolving to this Digimon."
-
Magnadramon (MO-10) -
The Digivolution Requirement lists Angemon, which would allow a Champion to Mega Digivolution.
-
Tekkamon (MP-108) -
The Digivolution Requirements list a DNA digivolution between Snimon and Goburimon, which would mean champion + rookie = ultimate. DNA digivolutions usually require 2 digimon from the previous level.
-
Cyberdramon (ST-83) -
Digivolution requirements mention "Revolvermon" but that Digimon was renamed to Deputymon. This was corrected on the French Mega Pack release MP-83. Big thank you to Ben for submitting this!
Printing/Text Issue
-
Numemon (BO-63) -
Most of the text on this card is using the wrong font and looks super weird. Additionally the text in the special effect box is so big it spills outside of the box. This issue was fixed with the Cereal Promo release of Numemon (CP-35).
-
Togemon (BO-84) &
Togemon (ST-10) -
Both have the same Green attack with 300 power but one is called "LIGHT SPEED JABBING" and the other is called "LIGHTSPEED JABBING".
-
Boltmon (TB-11) -
Second digivolution requirement is for a DNA digivolution but doesn't have the (DNA) keyword before it.
-
Phantomon (BO-39) -
In first digivolution requirement Meramon is spelled wrong, card says "Meremon".
-
Wendigomon (MO-04) -
Digimon name is spelled wrong, card shows "Endigomon".
-
Not that weird but on cards that require an Ultimate level Digimon for DNA, some say "Ultimate" and some say "ULTIMATE" e.g. Piedmon (CP-37) and Pukumon (ST-40)
-
Vegiemon (ST-98) -
Missing "1" from Elecmon digivolution requirement. Card reads "Elecmon - offline card" but should be "Elecmon - offline 1 card"
-
Brachiomon (ST-106) -
PlatinumSukamon is spelled wrong in digivolution requirements, card shows "PlatinumSkamon".
-
Diaboromon (MO-12) -
On the card art behind Diaboromons head there is a white patch of background that wasn't removed before the dark background was added.
-
Icemon (BO-120) -
The Red attack ICEBERG BOMB has a space at the start of the name.
-
Cyclonemon (BO-78) -
The tip of his claw pokes out the border of the frame.
Unusual Thing
-
Pumpkinmon (BO-37) -
Pumpkinmons attack "TRICK OR TREAT" has power level 478, making it the only attack in the game thats power level isn't a factor of 10.
-
Nanimon, Sukamon, Numemon and Vegiemon all score more than 100 points when defeating a Digimon the same level as them.
-
The Miracle 4 (DM-02) -
Only card that required more than 2 cards for a DNA digivolution.
-
Betamon (MP-87) &
MegaKabuterimon (ST-28) -
Both have the attack ELECTRO SHOCKER but Betamon's is more powerful, despite Betamon being a rookie and MegaKabuterimon being an Ultimate.
